Content Ideas

4 types of content to create

Ever get stuck thinking about what content to create for your business?

I know I do, and I’ve been creating content for brands for over a decade!

For me, my inspiration comes from conversations.

Conversations with sales.

Conversations with customers. Current, past and potential customers.

Conversations with SMEs (subject matter experts).

Seeing a trend here?! 😉

Here’s 4 types of content you can create

Case Stories

Notice, I said case stories, not case studies? The reason for that is I like “stories” better than “studies”.

Stories are human.

And, at the end of the day, our buyers are human.

People buy with emotion first, then justify with logic.

And as a case story, make sure that you focus on the challenge that your customer has. The emotions. The ups and downs. The trigger - the straw that broke the camel’s back. And, of course, how you helped solve that challenge.

Research

The opposite of emotion, right?! 😆

Including research in your content is incredibly helpful. It could be industry research, or perhaps your own custom research.

Regardless, sharing research shows you are an authority in your industry.

Guides

While I love big ideas, at my core, I am super practical.

I love information to be clear, succinct and actionable. And that is how I like to approach my content and my consulting business.

What guides, frameworks, checklists, etc can you create that will be super helpful for your potential client?

And bonus points if you can reply and tell me something that would be incredibly helpful if I created for you! 🙌

Company Culture

Back to the human connection, showcase your people.

The faces behind your business.

The people that help you bring your mission to life. The people that serve your customers.

Because it’s always about the human connection.

To recap, here’s 4 content ideas for your business:

  1. Case Stories

  2. Research

  3. Guides

  4. Culture

If you made it this far, thank YOU! 🙏

One last reminder, please reply and let me know what guide I can create that would be incredibly helpful for you!

Thanks for reading, ‘til next week 👋
